On the bright side, great to see Chase Stewart back on the mound after a year off and 80 pounds lighter! We scored 22 runs on 18 hits in 4 at bats. Adams leads the way with 4 hits, Thompson and Nick Plaatje with 3 hits each, and 2 hit days from Kersh, Boyd, Jones and Ehrhardt.
I don't even want to venture a guess on how many errors we made. Not to mention the two botched run down plays. The defense (or lack thereof) was an absolute abomination.
Hoping for a positive report on the 5th inning injury to 2023 Player of the Year Aaron Thomas.
On to Sunday, time to wipe the slate clean defensively!
Beer was Tecate, which was well received and polished off quickly! Post game snacks from Boyd were top notch. We'll have 9-1-1 on standby when he brings the spicy stuff out for postgame!
