Wranglers Game Summary

Wranglers Fall to Bulls in Tough Outing, Look Ahead to Wednesday Bounce Back

The Wranglers couldn’t find their rhythm on Sunday, falling 19–1 to the CABL Bulls in a game that got away late. Despite a competitive start, an explosive sixth inning by the Bulls—featuring 11 runs on just four hits—put the game out of reach.

The Bulls jumped on the board early, scoring five runs in the opening frame with a mix of fielder’s choices, a two-RBI single from Nate Kroell, and an aggressive steal of home. A lineout by Jeff Muse added another in the third to make it 6–0.

The sixth inning proved decisive. The Bulls capitalized on several miscues and timely hits, including a pair of two-run doubles from Tyler Schunk, to stretch their lead. In total, they drew five walks, were hit by a pitch, and took advantage of defensive lapses to pile on 11 runs.

Brian McKibben took the loss for the Wranglers, going four innings and allowing seven runs on six hits. Offensively, the Wranglers showed some fight. James Johnson drove in the team’s lone run, going 1-for-1, while Waymond Lemon added a pair of hits. The defense turned a clean double play to halt a rally earlier in the game.

The Wranglers aim to regroup quickly and return to form on Wednesday night, hosting the Raptors in what should be a spirited home matchup.
