Jeff broke into the league in 1999 with the Lookouts. He spent 5 seasons with the team highlighted by a championship in 2002.
After a brief stint with the Indian Mets in 2004, Jeff joined up with the Suds in 2005 and remained with them as they formed what is now the Sting franchise today…It was with the Sting that Jeff made his biggest impact winning 4 championships in a 5 year stretch between 2007-2011…………A former teammate said and I quote” Jeff was the ultimate competitor on the mound and a pitcher that I knew if given the start we had a high probability of winning Great teammate and one that I feel very lucky to have played with during my career.”
Before he moved back up north to his hometown a few years back, he was the leagues all time wins leader with 136. He tossed 1474 innings, and is still the leagues all time strikeout king fanning 1592 batters with 7 double digit win seasons and 4 more with 9 wins, his 125 complete games are still a league record as well…..
Keep in mind that all of these numbers are just from the cabl…………Hes still mowing down hitters in the MVABL 18+ metal bat league……Add those numbers along with all the trips to Florida and its staggering to think how many innings he's trulylogged……….
We’re honored to have shared the field with Jeff for those many years, and happy to enshrine him where he belongs amongst the greatest to ever play in this league……..
A great ambassador for adult baseball both on and off the field , it is our privilege to welcome the newest member into the CABL Hall of Fame……Your 2023 inductee #43 from the Sting Jeff Sanders ------- |
